CP 1002 SLUG
undated picture of a CP unpowered slug mated to GP9 1684. The engine was inoperable but the traction motors were powered by the "mother" unit. It was originally a Milwaukee then SOO then CP.. It was retired in March 2013 and scrapped in may same year.

Picture - Spring 1994 passing the CN Port Credit East yard returning from Ford Oakville. Cab Control unit converted from RS18u 1836 exx RS18 8796. RS 18's were built by the Montreal Locomotive Works based on ALCO components. CP 1117 was retired in 2003 and scrapped 2004.

12-17-05 We see GP9u 1596 mated to slug 1014 switching container cars at the Obico terminal. 1596 was rebuilt in 1985 from GP9 8805. It was retired in May 2013. Slug 1014 was converted in 1995 from SW900 6712. It was retired in March 2013. It was renumbered in 1996.

May 14 2009 1CP 2101 and its mate CP 2100 were only on the roster for 5 years from 2008 to 2013 according to the Trackside Guide. They were built by NRE and returned to them. An experiment in power that was unsuccessful?
