Amtrak restored the "Maple Leaf" train post pandemic July 2022. Several trips were made with an engine decorated for their 50th Anniversary , but by the time I went to see it was a plain unit. Unit 101 would again be caught on Sunday July 10.

AMTK 107 is operated by a VIA Rail crew while in Canada running between Toronto Union Station and Niagara Falls ON as VIA Train 97, A USA based Amtrak crew will take over in Niagara Falls and start it on the journey to New York City as The Maple Leaf. - See September 1 2018 as well.

September 14 2008 at Oakville.

Here we see a F40PH leading 5 cars on the Maple Leaf from New York City to Toronto. It is approaching the Revus Road level crossing in Port Credit.

December 3 2005.This is the train from Toronto to New York City approaching Niagara Falls . The crew in Canada is a VIA crew and an Amtrak crew will take over the train to enter the USA. In 2005, when the picture was taken, VIA also ran a train to and from Niagara falls and Toronto.

October 16 2008 VIA 8509 on Train 75 to Windsor returning on Tr 70. Likely breakin run after repairs. Montreal on TR 68 July 8 back to Toronto TR 57. Rare catch.

GO 603 is making the Port Credit station stop while VIA 6419 heads west with the afternoon train to London.

VIA 6431 and 6435 are at the Toronto Maintenance Centre with the trainset for VIA 1 - The Canadian which travels between Toronto and Vancouver via Winnipeg and Edmonton 3 times a week.

Aldershot located in Burlington has become an important point on the CN/GO/VIA lines in southern Ontario. It is the passenger stop that serves Hamilton and Burlington for the VIA "Corridor" trains. It is the west end (other than some limited rush hour service into Hamilton) of the GO Lakeshore Line and an important satellite yard for CN freight trains from Toronto to the US border crossings.

VIA 916 leads Train 73 over the CANPA connector line from the CP Galt Sub back to the GO Lakeshore West (CN Oakville) as trains are detoured around the Humber River Bridge replacement weekends only during fall 2018. This is the Evans Avenue level crossing.
