Grant Group Companies . Started as John Grant Haulage. JGH hauled cement for St. Lawrence Cement in Clarkson. Their main yard is close to the cement plant on Lakeshore Road in Clarkson. They bought Active Cartage who had been on Belfield Road in Rexdale. Active was pole trailer specialists " Got a Long Load call Active" . Active was moved to Milton. Ultrahaul and Sandstone Transport were bought and merged. Today GGC has John Grant Haulage, Active Transport, Empire Transportation, Hutton Transport, Hurdman Bros., Active Logistics in Lackawanna NY and BJG Warehousing.

Trailer C20371
It is the trailer I'm noting here. The exterior finish was odd like it had been repainted. There is a Grant Haulage decal on the trailer but it is a closed tandem with spoke wheels. That's when I saw the New York State license.
