Toronto Coach Terminal
From the corner of Bay and Edward streets.

Originally opened in 1931 for Grey Coach Lines which was the inter city subsidiary of the TTC.

Bay and Dundas was the shorthand spot to get a bus out of town. The Ford Hotel chain opened one of their unique buildings right across the street, 750 rooms, in May 1928. This was the first place many new arrivals to Toronto would stay. The Ford gradually fell on rough times and was closed October 19 1973 and demolished in 1974.

GO Transit took over most of Gray Coach's runs and the Toronto Coach Terminal was used by other services; Voyaguer, Greyhound, Ontario Northland and Coach Canada.

GO had used the Elizabeth Street Terminal, next to the TCT for their suburban runs.

GO opened their Bus Terminal across Bay Street from Union Station and eventually into CIBC Place.

In 2021, the leases expired and Greyhound had suspended all service in Canada in 2020.

The property has reverted to the City of Toronto and will be redeveloped.
