Wallace Red Star
Red Star Express of Auburn NY purchased Wallace Transport. The Ontario PCV "C" license was spun off to Doral Transport while Red Star operated a LTL service between the US and Canada through the Buffalo Gateway. They were purchased by TNT.

Zavitz Bros. Turnpike Doubles
Jake Mulder sent me this picture of a Zavitz Bros Freightliner that was set up for hauling double 40 foot trailers on the New York State Thruway. Jake needed a special license or endorsement to drive these. They hauled bananas from Albany deep sea port.
