AS part of the reconstruction of Hurontario Street in Port Credit this bridge over Mary Fix Creek is being closed and a new opened a few meters south at Eaglewood Ave.
Machines are parked in the middle of Hurontario Street north side of Dundas in front of Cooksville Colonade building.
Northbound work zone at Pinetree Way.
Directional sign northbound.
Looking South near Pinetree Way.
A cutting beneath the railway line for the LRT and the Mary Fix Creek diversion towards rgw Credit River.
The viewing spot is covered in mesh but the portals where the LRT will duck beneath the Lakeshore West GO line is visible.
A GO train crosses over the LRT Construction Zone.
Anne Street looking toward Hurontario.
Equipment and gear stored nect to Port Credit GO station
Looking toward the Hurontario underpass and the new LRT Underpass beneath the GO Lakeshore West train line.
4 poles beside the railway line. Might be for electrification of the GO line.
Southeast corner of Queensway and Hurontario . Yes, the operator waved.
February 2023. Lanes occupied at dug up.
Looking north at Queensway toward Cooksville.
The Road Closed sign is likely just sitting there for use when the construction is under way.
A big heap of dirt with temporary fencing and a Metrolinx sign.
Much of the work is done at night and this machine was parked on east side of the street just past Paisley.
Shoring frames and a machine on the east side and dirt on the west side of the street.
Installation of some utilities on the west side of the street just north of Queensway.
The underpass beneath the QEW will be a major obstacle for the Hurontario LRT. We are looking north.
The QEW was originally the Middle Road and had local access. When it was fully Access Controlled a "service road" was built to provide local access, Mississauga's North Service Road extends between Hurontario and Dixie Road. West of Hurontario there is Premium Way between Harborn Road and Stavebank Road,
An important crossing street between Queensway and King Street. Paisley is residential with low rise apartment buildings on the east side and high rise on the west. Paisley is too close to Queensway for an LRT stop.
Although The Queensway stays within the limits of the City of Mississauga it is owned by the Region of Peel.
Enbridge gas line relocation along Queensway on both sides of Hurontario.
The Enbridge gas line along Queensway being shifted to allow LRT construction
Looking south towards Port Credit
Looking from beside the Premium Way / North service Road intersection to the QEW and the exit ramp for the Hamilton bound lanes.
This area should see a major rebuild when the LRT is built. This subway was constructed in 1963.
Eaglewood Avenue is the exit for the neighbourhood north of the CN/Metrolinx/GO Oakville sub.
Built in 1963 this subway carriers Hurontario under CN's busy Oakville Sub. This line is now owned by Metrolinx for it's primary GO Train traffic.
Looking west along Queensway
Looking towards the north east quadrant.
